Netherlands defeat Brazil.

Netherlands defeat host in world cup 3rd/4th play-off to win bronze.

  Brazil were booed  off the pitch in Brasilia by supporters after their defeat to Netherlands.

It was a very poor first half for the host, and Brazil improved slightly in the second half but Louis Van Gaal men were on top of their game.

  Van Persie scored the first goal of the match in the third minute from the penalty spot after  Arjen Robben was brought down in the penalty area by Thiago Silva.

Bind added the second on 16 minutes after David Luiz headed De Guzman's cross into his path.Wijnaldum then finished off the game in injury time.

  This was definately not what Brazil bargained for, but thats football, after a 7-1 demolition at the hands of Germany, and now a 3-0 defeat to Netherlands.Brazil boss Luis Felipe Scolari will look to find a way to improve and change the way things are right now.
