Fifa suspends Nigeria.

Fifa has suspended Nigeria team from all international football related activities on account of Government interference.

The football body took action after illegal dissolution of the Aminu Maigari led NFF board.
No team for Nigeria including club sides can compete with other nations, even in friendlies.
A letter was sent by Fifa to the Nigerian Football Federation on July 4, 2014 expressing its great concern over the court proceedings to dissolve the NFF board.
The court also ordered Nigerian minister of sports to appoint a senior member of the civil service to manage NFF until the matter was settled in court.
This decision will also rule out Nigeria under-20 women from participating in the world cup which is to be held in Canada if no action is taken by July 15 to reverse the suspension.
Nigeria were knocked out of the world cup by France in the round of 16 with two late goals.
